KTR Inaugurates Nagole Flyover

Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao inaugurated a six-lane bi-directional flyover in Nagole of Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The 990-metre flyover was constructed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as part of its Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP).
The total cost of the flyover is Rs 143.58 crore, which includes utility shifting, land acquisition etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that the new flyover would ease the traffic on the busy Uppal to L B Nagar stretch (in both directions), and that the travelling time would reduce drastically on the busy route.
Rao said that the State government had initiated massive infrastructure projects in different parts of the city to ensure a hassle-free and smooth commuting experience for the people that saved their time, and that it aimed at completing another four projects under the SRDP by March 2023.
Minister Ch Malla Reddy, L B Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy and others were present.
According to officials, of the 47 SRDP works proposed, the GHMC had taken up 41 works, and another six works had been taken up by the HMDA, the R&B department and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Till date, 31 SRDP projects including flyovers, RuBs and RoBs had been completed, and the remaining were under progress, the officials said.
