Transport Minister Dr P Ajay Kumar today said that information technology hubs were quickly being developed in second rung cities in Telangana.
The minister was speaking during a visit to the IT hub (a twin towers complex) being readied in Khammam town along with officials.
The building was nearing completion, and would to be started next month with all the facilities necessary, he said. IT minister K T Rama Rao was going to inaugurate the hub, he added.
The companies readying to begin operations had been offered all possible support from the government, he said.
Kumar also said that local talent and youth would be given priority in jobs and employment in these towers.
The government had spent Rs 25 crore for the twin towers, the minister said.
"We are keeping our promise of developing the IT sector in other cities and towns as it cannot be confined to just Hyderabad, Bengaluru and other large cities," he claimed.
The minister asked the officials to complete remaining works of the towers as soon as possible.
