Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with regard to Elugubanti Suryanarayana's links in the ESI Hospital construction scam and the Sahara India Scam, Congress leader A Revanth Reddy said that that was the reason that the TRS was maintaining silence on the union budget though the ruling and the opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh were raising their voices against the Centre.
Speaking at the Assembly media hall on Thursday, Reddy said that IT minister K T Rama Rao while chatting with media persons on Wednesday spoke on useless issues instead of on Modi's injustice to the state and reneging on the assurances made to it in the A P Reorganization Act.
He also pointed out that KCR had announced that his government would provide drinking water to 25,000 houses with Rs 50,000 crores, and that he would not seek votes if he failed to supply drinking water through Mission Bhagiratha, but had not yet given any amount of water. He also alleged that the National Highways Authority officials had removed the pipes laid alongside the roads by Megha.
In response to KTR calling the Congress a "loafer party", the Congress leader dubbed the TRS a "lathkor party". He also demanded that KTR release a white paper on the expenditure on his foreign trips and how many investments he had broughtin through them. He alleged that KTR was touring foreign countries only to park his looted money there. He also alleged that the minister was planning to leave the country and was hence speaking on a "political sanyas".
