BRS working president K T Rama Rao today criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his frequent trips to Delhi. KTR said that the State government was struggling to fund welfare programs while the CM had visited Delhi 25 times in just ten months.
Taking to Twitter, KTR said that Revanth Reddy had reached a "silver jubilee" of Delhi visits, claiming the trips served no purpose. He accused the CM of neglecting pressing issues in the State, such as challenges faced by farmers and residential school students.
KTR also slammed the government's handling of the Musi River beautification project and the HYDRA initiative, alleging they were harming the livelihoods of the poor. He also criticized the government for failing to deliver on promises, including pensions for the elderly and the distribution of one tola of gold for newlyweds.
Addressing the issue of illegal sand mining, he accused the Congress-led administration of turning a blind eye to rampant sand smuggling.
"Under Congress rule, the sand mafia has gained power. Illegal sand mining is happening across the State, with profits being funneled from ministers down to local leaders," he alleged. KTR claimed that officials were being bribed to allow the illegal activities to continue, with money that should be going to the State treasury ending up in the pockets of Congress members.
