Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao today found fault with the Opposition leaders for seeking an extension of the ongoing Assembly sessions to 30 days.
Addressing the Assembly on Friday, Rao said that the Opposition leaders were asking for sessions for 30 days but didn't have the patience to sit in the Assembly for even 30 minutes.
"A BJP leader wrote a letter asking for the sessions of the Assembly to be held for 30 days, and a Congress leader demanded sessions for 20 days. Unfortunately, during the question hour today, all the ruling party members are present in the House whereas only one member each from the Congress and the BJP are present. Based on their presence in the House, we can understand their sincerity towards and love for the people," KTR said.
Earlier, during Question Hour, the minister said that that more and more IT companies were coming to Telangana to set up their units as there was a stable government here under the able leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The IT exports in Telangana during 2014 were Rs 57,258 crore, and they had increased to Rs 2,41,275 crore in 2022-23, he said. And 3,23,396 people were directly employed in the IT sector when Telangana was formed, and this had increased to 9,05,715, he added.
