Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Tuesday slammed TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for their decision to abstain from the all-party meeting, convened by the Centre, to discuss the Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters here, KTR said that it was Chandrababu Naidu who had demanded that an all-party meeting be convened.
"However, after the Centre decided to call the meeting, the TDP chief wants to abstain from it. Even Jaganmohan Reddy is emulating his TDP counterpart in staying away from the all-party meeting," he said.
KTR said that the abstention of 2 of the major opposition political parties from the state, would send a wrong message to the people.
Accusing Naidu and Jagan of speaking in one tone over the Telangana issue, he demanded that the TDP and YSRCP attend the all-party meeting.
He also alleged that both were trying to stall the Telangana state's formation, which is in the last stages of realization. (INN)
