Congress MP T Subbirami Reddy and BJP MLA Ch Ramachandra Reddy were also present.
The new shop in Hyderabad, spread over 1,30,000 square feet, is considered one of the biggest shopping malls in southern India. The store has been advertising aggressively the past few days, and a huge crowd had gathered for the inaugural. KTR was especially welcomed like a star by the assembled crowd. The management of the showroom, too, offered a grand welcome to the ministers, with traditional dances et al.
CMD of the chain Kiran Kumar crowed about his showroom having all kinds of gold, diamond, pearl and other jewellery, and other items for marriages, festivals and other functions, with prices ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10 lakhs and above.
"We have put up a wide range of gold, diamond and pearl jewellery for sale in the showroom, which is one of the biggest in Southern India. Soon we will open another shop at Kukatpally," he said.
