KTR Asks Centre For Funds For Hyderabad, Warangal
Telangana minister K T Rama Rao today urged the Centre to extend funds to the state for the implementation of various developmental programs.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today urged the BJP-led union government to extend funds to the state for the development of the state's capital Hyderabad, and Warangal district.
He reportedly wrote letters to union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding the matter, appealing to them to extend funds for the implementation of various projects, including the GHMC's Sewage Master Plan and its Strategic Nalas project.
The minister explained that the state government was keen to develop the roads, nalas and sewage systems in the Hyderabad, Warangal and other cities and towns following the devastation caused by the recent floods in the state, in order to prevent such problems in the future.
"We have prepared the plans for several projects to improve the sewage and flood prevention systems in the city. We appeal to the Centre to cooperate with us and release the necessary funds for the implementation of the same," he said.
Rao also urged the Centre to provide funds for the government's plan to set up a Metro Neo Rail project in Warangal.
He added that the state government had launched several developmental programs, including projects for waste management, human waste treatment, bio mining and underground drainage facilities, across the state, and reiterated his appeal for funds for the same.
