Following his brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy's demands, Telangana Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, too, demanded that the State government order a CBI inquiry into the Mohammed Nayeemuddin encounter and his operations.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Reddy alleged that several TRS members were linked with Nayeemuddin, and claimed that this was the reason that the government had ignored his repeated demands for a CBI inquiry.
Pointing out his brother's claim that he (Rajagopal Reddy) was warned by Nayeem against standing in the elections, Venkat Reddy challenged the TRS to order the inquiry and come clean.
Speaking on the allegations made against his kin recently, he defended them by stating that his family had no connections with Nayeem.
