Faulting the recent Warangal encounter of Maoists, Telangana Political JAC (TPJAC) chairman M Kodandaram said that he strongly felt that the Greyhounds had killed the Maoists during the combing drive.
It may be recalled that Maoists Sruthi and Vidyasagar Reddy died in an encounter that took place in the Warangal district recently.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating TPJAC's new office opposite the office of the Board of Intermediate Education, Nampally, on Saturday, Kodandaram also alleged that farmers were committing suicides because of the negligence of successive governments.
The government's attitude towards farmers was not proper, he opined, and said that the State government needed to extend ex-gratia to the kin of all the farmers who committed suicides after June 2, 2014 - i. e. after the formation of the Telangana State.
The Telangana movement leader also stated that he had no difference with the Chief Minister.
Stating that he was also not annoyed with the Opposition Parties, either, Kodandaram said that it was just that his style of working was different and therefore he could not work along with them.
Adding that he was not power-hungry and had no plans to enter active politics at this juncture, Kodandaram said that he would still always fight for the just causes of the people.
He suggested to the political parties to discuss urgent public issues rather than shout at each other.
Revealing that he was retiring on September 30 from his job, Kodandaram said that he would work full-time for the JAC activities even after retirement.
He also informed that the JAC would announce its future action plan within two or three days.
