Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday vowed to put Hyderabad in the list of best cities of the world by providing all necessary amenities to the citizens.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of a 3000 KL capacity GLSR and 1500 KL capacity ELSR at Sainathapuram, Malkajgiri municipal limits in Secunderabad, KKR said that the reservoir constructed at a cost of Rs. 3 crore would provide potable water to the residents nearby.
KKR also woved to improve the drinking water supply to the entire city and modernize it within the next 6 months with the funds under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, and other sources.
Reiterating his government's commitment to provide all basic amenities, KKR said that he would attempt to mould Hyderabad as one of the best cities in the world. The Chief Minister reminded that the city had carved its unique identity.
He said that the rising population and rapid expansion meant that the government had to keep itself on its toes to provide facilities and develop infrastructure.
