Former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy reached New Delhi today, and will meet AICC chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday at 11:30 am.
Speculation has been ripe over the last one month that Reddy was planning to return to the Congress, and the news of his meeting with Gandhi on Friday strengthened the rumours.
Reddy had left the Congress immediately after the division of united Andhra Pradesh and launched the Jai Samaikhyandhra party before the 2014 elections. But his party failed miserably at the ballot boxes. After the 2014 elections, Reddy confined himself to his home. But newly-appointed Andhra Pradesh Congress affairs in-charge Omen Chandy went to his residence and invited him to join the party again. Kiran is learnt to have accepted Chandy's invitation, and as part of it, arrived in Delhi today.
