Sharmila Accuses Jagan Of Linking Her With Prabhas

AP Congress Committee president Y S Sharmila today severely denigrated her brother, YSRCP chief and former CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking with the media at her Lotus Pond house in Hyderabad, Sharmila alleged that Jagan had used attacks on her character to further his own image.

She said that despite being her own brother, he made his own party workers propagate via the social media, rumours that she had links with the movie actor Prabhas.

"Jagan in his recent press conference referred to a video of mine years back where I had complained of false propaganda against me from Balakrishna's house. If you knew this had happened, you were the CM for five years. Why was no inquiry made? Wasn't it the YCP's social media arm that campaigned that I had a relationship with Prabhas? I don't know who Prabhas is and I am swearing by my children on the issue. I have never seen him. Jagan did this campaign. He is now using that video and trying to get sympathy. Jagan has nothing called family values. He filed a case against his own mother for his selfish interests. And his own father's name was placed in a CBI charge-sheet," Sharmila alleged.

She said that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu should not follow in the footsteps of Jagan. "Don't give projects to Adani from AP anymore. PM Modi and Adani are no different. Modi is protecting Adani and Adani is giving money to Modi. The SEBI chief is also in the hands of Adani. There is no action against Adani in India although a case has been registered against him in the US. Just by looking at this we can understand the relationship between Modi and Adani. In 10 years, Adani has risen to great heights. How is it possible to earn so much money? The Adani affair is an insult to the whole country. Modi has to answer the question asked by the Congress - will he hand over Adani to the US? This kind of corruption is happening in the country only with the help of Modi," she claimed.

"The Justice Department of USA has framed charges against Adani, claiming that the Adani team has given bribes to some CMs in the country. Jagan has been named as one of them. Jagan indeed received bribes in August 2021. Jagan is the adopted son of Modi. He met Adani and promised to give him whatever he wanted in the power sector," Sharmila alleged.

"The Congress has long been demanding a JPC against Adani. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy too should blacklist Adani. As a party colleague, I appeal to Revanth Reddy that he should not do business with Adani," she said.
