KCR To Unveil 5-Ton Gandhi Statue At Gandhi Hospital On Oct 2
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will unveil a Mahatma Gandhi statue at the entrance of Gandhi Hospital on Sunday to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will unveil a Mahatma Gandhi statue at the entrance of Gandhi Hospital on Sunday to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
According to officials, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) had taken up the installation of a 16-feet height bronze statue of Gandhi sitting in a meditating posture in the hospital. The statue has been developed in an island area of 200 sq m in the hospital's premises.
The statue weighing approximately 5 tons has been sculpted by Ram Sutar Fine Arts at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crores. The other works including civil, electrical and greenery/landscaping works were taken up at a cost of Rs. 1 crore approximately.
After the event at Gandhi Hospital, KCR will inaugurate the renovated Gandhi Park on M G Road, Ramgopalpet division.
The renovation works were taken up with a budget of Rs. 1.39 crore.
