KCR To Unveil Tallest Statue Of Ambedkar On April 14

Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao will unveil India's tallest statue of Dr B R Ambedkar, at NTR Gardens adjacent to the Secretariat, on Friday.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will unveil India's tallest statue of Dr B R Ambedkar, at NTR Gardens adjacent to the Secretariat, on Friday.

The structure, built in commemoration of Ambedkar's 125th birth anniversary, was designed in the style of the Statue of Liberty in America, and will be a tourist and scientific attraction. It cost Rs 146.5 crore.

The building beneath the statue has a built-up area of 26,258 sft, and will house a museum, a photo gallery and audio-visual rooms featuring important events from Ambedkar's life.
