KCR To Appoint Department Heads For New Districts

As the reorganisation of the districts in Telangana approaches due date, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directed concerned officials to appoint Heads of Departments in all districts in the State based on experience and credentials.

Addressing a high-level review meeting at MCR HRD, the Chief Minister said that proposals for the appointment of HoDs should be sent to the government immediately.

KCR declared more powers and duties to incharges of departments as the administration wings were being expanded.

He said that he would implement a shuffling system wherein officials who have rendered their services in one department successfully would be shifted to another department immediately. Under this, several officials of smaller projects of one department would be shifted to the irrigation and water departments to take up the reservoir projects, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya.

The CM asked the officials to prepare an action plan regarding this.
