Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president A Revanth Reddy on Sunday alleged that Telangana caretaker CM KCR had targeted his Assembly constituency Kodangal, and was ensuring that it remained underdeveloped.
He said that KCR was seeking the revenge despite the fact that the residents of Kodangal had sent him to Parliament as the Mahbubnagar MP in the 2009 general elections.
"The people of my constituency had given a bumper majority to KCR in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Despite this, he never visited my constituency even once after becoming the CM. Moreover, he took all possible steps to see that Kodangal remained underdeveloped," Reddy alleged.
Reddy said that KCR did not take up the Kodangal lift irrigation scheme despite the fact that the union government had given funds for its construction. He also alleged that his constituency could not get water under the Mission Bhagiratha scheme, that the Krishna-Vikarabad railway line was stalled as KCR did not release funds for its completion, and that his repeated pleas for the establishment of a women's degree college in his constituency were ignored by the TRS government.
