Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday appealed to the people for their full cooperation in the Intensive Household Survey on to be conducted on August 19.
Speaking to media persons, the Chief Minister said that elaborate arrangements had been made for the survey in all the 10 districts.
He said that except for emergency services like ambulances, all other services including RTC and petrol pumps would be shut on August 19.
He also assured people that the data being collected would not be misused, and that it would remain the confidential property of the government.
He said that only the relevant data would be made accessible to the concerned departments for the implementation of welfare schemes.
KCR also asked the Opposition Parties not to politicise the survey.
He said that the people would not forgive the Opposition Parties if they tried to obstruct the survey, which would benefit the deserving beneficiaries of Telangana.
When asked for his reaction to the Opposition Parties' allegations of his acting like a dictator and Hitler, KCR said in a lighter vain that he was a Hitler against all those who were against the interests of Telangana.
He also slammed a section of the media for targeting his government, and accused it of indulging in yellow journalism.
KCR informed that the guidelines for the Financial Assistance for Telangana Students (FAST) would be issued soon.
He also said that steps were being to promote the Golconda Fort as a tourism destination, and that was the reason that the government held the official celebrations of the Independence Day at the fort.
He described the historic monument of a symbol of peace and co-existence. (INN)
