It seems that the Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam performed by KCR is indeed yielding benefits for the Telangana government as its neighbour Andhra Pradesh is willing to extend direct support for Telangana's development projects including the A P Rayons factory in the Warangal district, and moral support at the Central level to enable it get timely funding.
The two Telugu Chief Ministers, who were at loggerheads earlier, are now getting closer, probably as a result of the Chandi Yagam and the Amaravathi capital city foundation bonhomie. This is evident from the AP government reportedly giving the nod to support the Telangana government in reopening the A P Rayons factory.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sent his emissary, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, to meet his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu in this regard. Along with another minister A Chandulal, Srihari called on Naidu and handed over to him a letter written by KCR seeking support. In the letter KCR is said to have urged Naidu's cooperation in offering the pulp needed for the factory at a subsidized price.
As the factory would provide employment to many people and help the cotton industry in a big way upon getting back to production, AP's cooperation would be quite helpful to his State, KCR reportedly said in the letter.
Srihari himself also urged Naidu's help for the factory, and the latter readily agreed to the Telangana government's plea, it is learnt.
