Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today paid floral tributes to former party leader and Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah, ahead of the party's executive committee meeting at the Telangana Bhavan.
The CM, who received a warm welcome from the leaders and workers of the party on reaching the party headquarters, first went to the portrait of Narsimhaiah, and paid rich tributes to him before commencing the meeting.
He also garlanded a picture of the former MLA.
(The 64-year-old TRS MLA
passed away on December 1 last year, at the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, following a cardiac arrest. He had been ailing for some time before that. His condition had then worsened owing to post-Covid-19 complications.)
At the two-and-a-half-hour-long meeting that followed, KCR discussed various important party matters, including the party's membership drive, the constitution of the party committees from the village to the state levels, the election of the party president, and the plans for the party's annual plenary on April 27, with his colleagues.
Members of the executive committee, the CM's cabinet, the party MPs, MLAs and MLCs, state-level corporation chairpersons, Zilla Parishad chairpersons, mayors, municipal chairpersons, district cooperative central bank chairpersons and district cooperative marketing society presidents were present at the meeting.
