Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today met with his Tamil Nadu counterpart M K Stalin in Chennai.
KCR called on Stalin at his residence along with his family members including wife Shobha, son and minister K T Rama Rao, and MP Santhosh Kumar.
Stalin offered a warm welcome to KCR, and the two leaders had a brief meeting on the current political scenario at the national level.
It is known that the KCR government has raised its voice against the Centre on paddy procurement and the three farm laws, and that makes the meeting with Stalin significant.
The Telangana CM reportedly spoke about a possible third front or federal front to replace the BJP government for its "anti-farmer and anti-people policies", and sought support from Stalin for such a front he wants to spearhead.
Stalin reportedly only said that he would think about the proposal.
Meanwhile, former TRS MP B Vinod Kumar said that KCR's meeting with Stalin was almost certainly about national politics.
"Our CM called on Stalin and might have discussed national politics and forming a federal front against the BJP government for its anti-farmer policies," he said.
