TRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his Jharkhand counterpart Hemanth Soren today said that a new political platform at the national level would be formed soon, and that the details would be announced shortly.
Talking to media persons at Ranchi with Soren, KCR said that the constituents of the front would finalise the alternative at national level shortly.
"In 75 years of independence, the nation did not witness sufficient development despite many governments coming to power. Our plan is to make efforts in that direction to bring in qualitative change," KCR said. "We will soon come up with the details of the alternative platform. It is not intended to be anti-BJP or anti-Congress or a third or fourth front. We are a platform of like-minded, regional parties joining hands for that change for development of all sectors in the country."
With Soren, KCR also gave away Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of two Galwan Valley clash martyrs and to a family of a martyred soldier Ganesh.
Other kin of Galwan martyrs would also get similar help after the poll code ended in the states, he said.
Earlier, the CM was welcomed into Ranchi with hoardings and flexis welcoming him with messages like Desh Ka Neta, Telangana achiever, visionary of Bangaru Telangana and national federal front leader. He then got a warm welcome from Soren at the latter's residence in Ranchi. KCR paid tributes to revolutionary leader Birsa Munda during the meeting with Soren.
KCR also took the blessings of former CM Shibu Soren at the Soren residence. For the unversed, Shibu Soren and KCR were both union ministers when the statehood movement for Telangana was on. The senior Soren had given his support and blessings for Telangana's statehood, KCR said.
Those present at the get-together were KCR's wife Shobha, MLC K Kavitha, MP Santhosh Kumar, minister Srinivas Goud, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman B Vinod Kumar, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and others.
