Congress MLCs from Telangana on Friday claimed that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has lost his charisma in the region.
Speaking to media persons after holding a meeting at the Congress Legislature Party office, Congress senior leader K R Amos said that KCR's meeting at Gadwal in Mahabubnagar district has failed. Only 5,000 people attended the much-hyped meeting in a constituency which is currently represented by KCR himself. Amos said that the meeting's failure was proof that the TRS has no cadre in the district. He also slammed KCR for his remarks against the Congress party on the bifurcation issue.
Telangana Congress MLCs also announced that a coordination committee would assist the Pradesh Congress Party in contesting the municipal and general elections. They also opposed giving 7 mandals to the Seemandhra region, and said that they would write a letter to the Centre and Governor E S L Narsimhan, seeking a review of the ordinance.
They also advocated a probe into the land allocations made by the successive governments since 1990.
MLCs including Yadav Reddy, Bhanu Prasad, MS Prabhakar, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and K Satyanarayana participated in the meeting. (INN)
