TPCC chief Revanth Reddy today came down heavily on the Chief Minister of the State K Chandrashekar Rao, alleging that the latter was doing real estate business in Telangana instead of discharging his duties, and that he had handed over government lands to a private corporate hospital.
Speaking to media persons, Reddy alleged that the State government was also allotting lands to all the ruling party leaders including the ministers.
Getting into specifics, Reddy said that the then State government had fixed the price of land in the Khanamet area as Rs 12 crore per acre, and that the HMDA had accordingly given notices to Alexandria Pharma and Maruti Suzuki.
He said that Maruti Suzuki paid Rs 12 crore per acre, but that Alexandria went to court over the allocation of the lands.
The eye of KCR's family then fell on the lands allotted to Alexandria, and the family mounted pressure on the company to hand over the lands to a private hospital, Reddy alleged.
He said that two men acting on behalf of the KCR family named Ravindra Rao and Jagannatha Rao hatched a plan to take possession of the land and joined Alexandria forcibly, and won a case in the High Court and got possession of the land. Reddy asked the State government why it did not appeal against the order of the High Court in the Supreme Court.
He alleged that the CM had basically handed over five acres of valuable land to his relatives. Claiming that the land value near Hitech City was Rs 80,000 per square yard, he said that the State government had handed over the land for just Rs 36,000 per square yard.
