BJP leader and former minister D K Aruna today alleged that the KCR government had made a darkroom deal with the Andhra Pradesh government on irrigation issues.
Aruna specifically claimed that KCR and AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy were hand in glove on the Pothireddipadu project, accusing the KCR government of failing to prevent Andhra Pradesh from drawing the Pothireddipadu waters.
She also expressed displeasure at KCR being silent on the Jagan's plans to construct the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project. The KCR government was cool to it and not taking tough measures to prevent it, and the KRMB had to step in to stall it, she said.
Also, the board had called a meeting of both CMs to sort it out amicably on August 5, but KCR was not attending the meeting, she said.
"What more important work does KCR have than the Krishna board meeting?" she asked.
She accused the KCR government of deceiving the Palamur and South Telangana people on irrigation, too. And she also said that the Chief Minister had failed to complete the Palamur lift irrigation scheme in seven years now. The KCR government was just completing old irrigation projects and changing their names to take credit, and had not taken up a single new irrigation project, she claimed.
