KCR Getting Commissions From AP Irrigation Projects: Congress
Congress MP Revanth Reddy alleged that the Telangana CM was receiving commissions from the irrigation projects being built in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
Congress MP A Revanth Reddy today alleged that the Chief Minister of the state K Chandrashekar Rao was receiving commissions from the irrigation projects being constructed in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
He claimed that AP CM Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was going ahead with the construction of illegal irrigation projects since the commissions ensured him the full support of his Telangana counterpart, and that KCR, who was supposed to act as the watchdog of the state, had actually turned out to be a thief.
Revanth Reddy also claimed that KCR had urged the Apex Council to hold its meeting after August 20 to help out the CMD of Megha, Krishna Reddy.
The MP warned KCR that the Congress would approach a court of law if the state government did not include GO No 69 in the agenda of the meeting of the Apex Council scheduled for the 25th.
Reddy also alleged that KCR was getting ready to buy power at higher rates from private power companies to earn commissions, and that the CM was ready to turn south Telangana into a dessert for the commissions.
The Congress MP made these remarks after meeting the Chairman of the Krishna River Management Board and submitting a representation.
In his representation, he urged the Chairman to take up the Narayanpeta-Kodangal lift irrigation project. He told the Chairman that the project had been awaiting approval since 2014, and that Rs 1,450 crore had also been sanctioned for its construction. He alleged that KCR had completely forgotten about the project after coming into power.
