KCR Finalises Site Near Mucherla For Pharma City
The proposed Pharma City will come up on nearly 11,000 acres of land in the Ranga Reddy district.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday finalised a site in Mucherla of the Ranga Reddy district for the establishment of the Hyderabad Pharma City.
The proposed Pharma City will come up on nearly 11,000 acres of land.
The decision was taken after the Chief Minister, along with senior officials and representatives of pharma companies, conducted an aerial survey of a few possible locations in the Ranga Reddy district.
Later, he pointed out that Mucherla would be the best location for the proposed Pharma City.
A pharma university, a research institution and a township for the employees will also be established in the proposed Pharma City, which would be designed per and built to international standards.
The Chief Minister said that the Pharma City would be completely eco-friendly with a "zero liquid discharge policy". He expressed hope that the Pharma City would attract investments of nearly Rs 30,000 crores while providing employment to about 70,000 people.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Transport Minister Mahendar Reddy, Maheshwaram MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy, Revenue Secretary R P Meena, Industries Secretary Pradeep Chandra, Chief Secretary S Narsing Rao and TSIIC MD Jayesh Ranjan. Pharma companies were represented by B Parthasarathy Reddy and K Ratnakar Reddy (Hetero), K Satish Reddy (Dr Reddy's Labs), K Nityananda Reddy (Arabindo), M Narayana Reddy (Virco), P Eshwar Reddy (BDMA), M S N Reddy (M S N Labs), Santosh (VVMed), Dr S Anand (Sagar Group) and M Mohan Rao.
