Hyderabad | 19th March 2017
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today hosted lunch for his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan at Pragati Bhavan.

The Chief Ministers exchanged views on a wide range of issues ranging from Ease of Doing Business rankings to law & order, welfare schemess, tourism, health tourism, the beauty of Kerala, information technology and so on.

The Kerala CM was all praise for the welfare and development schemes launched by the Telangana government in general, and for the state becoming no 1 in the country in the Ease of Doing Business rankings in particular.

Responding to this, KCR replied that the innovative and hassle-free industrial policy TS-iPASS, single window clearances and other such industry-friendly policies of the government had helped the state make rapid strides in the industrial sector. He informed Vijayan that Telangana was attracting huge investments in all sectors, and gave him a copy of the state industrial policy booklet.

The Kerala CM also evinced key interest in knowing more about the land reforms and maintenance of land records in Telangana. KCR then explained things in detail, starting from the maintenance of land records historically in the state since the Nizam's period dating back to the Salarjung days. He said that a pucca record system was in place and the records were being updated on a regular basis earlier, with its origins in an era when people used to have such immense faith in one another that they used do the land transactions on just a white paper. The Telangana government had now begun registering such Sada Bainama land records. So far the government had received some 11.5 lakh applications, and the registration process was going on, KCR explained.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, IT Minister K T Rama Rao, MP Balka Suman, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary S P Singh, DGP Anurag Sharma, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, CMO senior officials S Narsing Rao, Shanthi Kumari, Smita Sabharwal and Bhoopal Reddy, and others were in attendance.
