Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor Likely
CM KCR suggested convening an all-Party meeting with officials to discuss industrial growth and the proposed Corridor among other related issues.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao suggested convening an all-Party meeting with officials to discuss the future of industrial growth, and build a comprehensive plan to achieve further growth.
Answering during the Question Hour, the Chief Minister agreed to views expressed by BJP member G Kishan Reddy for expanding industrial reach to areas in and around Warangal which was the second biggest city after Hyderabad in the State. And so the State government formulated a new industrial policy for setting up units not only in and around Hyderabad but also in places including Warangal, Medak, Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar. He suggested that IT Minister K T Rama Rao convene an all-Party meeting to seek suggestions in this regard.
The State government already received a sanction from the Central government for taking up works of a proposed regional ring road of 330 km in order to provide connectivity and attract industries.
The Chief Minister pointed out that there was great scope for development of pharmaceutical industries as Telangana alone catered to 40 - 45 % of drug manufacturing in the nation.
Speaking after the CM while replying to a main question regarding promotion of industrial corridors, KTR said that in addition to the National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ), Medak and Pharma City (HPC), Hyderabad, the State government was examining the feasibility of setting up industrial clusters on the Hyderabad-Warangal route. The Central government had been requested to include the Hyderabad-Warangal Corridor under the recently approved National Investment Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT).
He also elaborated on several other industrial corridors and other industry initiatives that would be discussed in the upcoming all-Party meeting.
