BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has exuded confidence that his party would emerge victorious with more than 100 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana.
Addressing the BRS general body meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday, KCR said that his party had secured 63 seats in the 2014 elections and 88 seats in 2018 elections, and this time would form the government for a third consecutive term by winning more than 100 seats.
"Telangana has achieved unprecedented growth in the power, roads, agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries sectors, and the people of the country are wondering marvelling at the progress of our State. People in large numbers from Maharashtra are coming to Telangana daily to see the progress of the State," KCR said.
He asked the party leaders to spend more time with the people by taking up various engagegment programs including Palle Nidra, and said that two leaders would be deputed to each Assembly constituency as in-charges for winning the election.
He also said that an action plan was being prepared to reach out to the electorate through the mass media, including making TV advertisements and short films, for the party's campaign. Moreover, if the situation arose, the party would not hesitate to start a dedicated channel for the election campaign, KCR said.
"It is not a big task for the BRS to come to power in Telangana. The real task is to win more Assembly seats than in the earlier elections," the BRS president said.
