The state government today organized Telangana Formation Day celebrations in all districts on a grand note.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao first paid floral tributes to the heroes of the statehood movement at the Martyrs Memorial.
Later he unfurled the national flag at his official residence Pragathi Bhavan, following the coronavirus protocols.
Speaking on the occasion, he vowed again to strive hard for a golden Telangana.
Meanwhile, at the TRS headquarters Telangana Bhavan, party Secretary General K Keshava Rao, Prof Srinivas Reddy and other leaders participated in an event to commemorate the occasion.
They too unfurled the tricolour to mark the anniversary of the state's formation, and offered floral tributes to the martyrs of the statehood movement.
Keshava Rao attributed statehood for the region to the long fight by the TRS boss. And as Chief Minister KCR had been implementing several welfare schemes, and SCs, STs, minorities and BCs were reaping the benefits of the state's formation, he said.
Ministers who attended the event at the districts included K T Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Srinivas Goud, Srinivas Yadav, Mahmood Ali, Jagadish Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy and Ajay Kumar.
Despite the pandemic and the lockdown, as per official directions, ministers, the people's representatives and senior officials attended the Formation Day events in the various districts following coronavirus protocol.
