OMRA Seeks Vaccination For Workers Going Abroad
OMRA head D S Reddy today demanded that the Telangana government administer the Covid-19 vaccine to all those planning to go to foreign countries for jobs.
Overseas Manpower Recruiters Association (OMRA) head D S Reddy today demanded that the Telangana government administer the Covid-19 vaccine to all those planning to go to foreign countries for employment purposes.
He said that the association had written a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on behalf of all the registered recruitment agencies within the state in which they had urged the CM to give the priority being given to the students who were travelling to foreign countries to pursue higher education to the state's foreign job seekers as well.
The OMRA head also claimed that lakhs of people in the state were not being able to go to foreign countries due to their unvaccinated status which was hampering their family income.
Pointing out that the administration of the vaccines would provide much-needed relief to all the migrant workers from the state, Reddy reiterated the demand and stated that the Covisheild vaccine being administered in India was recognised by the World Health Organization.
He added that the Gulf countries, for instance, were allowing those who had taken the vaccines into their countries and that the vaccination of workers working or seeking jobs abroad would help them greatly.
