Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today reiterated that the BJP government at the Centre should be kicked out for raking up "The Kashmir Files" (a recent blockbuster movie) and spreading communal strife and chaos, instead of pushing for development.
The Chief Minister was speaking after a TRSLP meeting he held on the paddy row at Telangana Bhavan attended by legislators, chiefs of DCCBs, DCMS and Zilla Parishads, and others.
KCR alleged that instead of addressing key issues hurting the nation and flagging the communal and law & order problems elsewhere, the union government was talking of The Kashmir Files, only to divide the people.
He pointed out that it was the BJP that was in power when the Kashmiri Pandits were allegedly killed, and said that it was surprising that instead of preventing the massacre and migration then or fixing things now when it was again in power, the party was acting as if someone else was responsible for the whole issue.
The truth was that the party was raking up the Kashmir Pandits issue to divert attention from the paddy procurement and other issues, he alleged.
KCR demanded that the BJP government go as it had "miserably failed to develop the country in all fields". No sector inlcuding finance, agriculture, power, irrigation or any other had been developed by the Centre, he claimed.
The CM also reiterated that he would play a key role at national level as the people across the country were unhappy at Modi's "misrule", and also confirmed that political strategist Prashant Kishor was working for him. KCR however evaded a direct reply on whether what he was forming was a federal front or a platform of like-minded parties. He said that the process was on and consultations were going on.
