BRS chief and former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, who is undergoing treatment at the Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad for a hip injury, appealed to his party cadre and fans to not visit the hospital to see him.
He said that hundreds of patients, including him, should not be inconvenienced due to the visits of his supporters.
In a video message, KCR told his supporters that the doctors were not sending him out because he was infected, and that he was recovering just now.
He also said, "My heartfelt greetings to all the hundreds and thousands of fans who have gathered from different parts of the State today. I was admitted to Yashoda Hospital with an accidental injury. Today, the medical team warned me seriously that I might have an infection. The problem might increase further and there will be a lot of consequent issues. I am being told that I will not be able to go out for months if the infection increases. In this context, I appeal to the people of the State. I humbly request that no one should come for another 10 days. There are hundreds of people in the hospital apart from me. Their well-being is also important to us. So, instead of feeling alienated and suffering, go back your homes with discipline and in a good and safe manner. I appeal to you to kindly fulfil my wish and respect my word and cooperate. I hope you will heed my appeal without any hesitation," KCR said.
"I will be back to normalcy soon and I will come before you," he added.
