BRS working president K T Rama Rao today claimed that the launch of the bus yatra of party chief and Telangana's first chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao had created tremors in the hearts of Congress and BJP leaders.
He said that the two parties were unable to bear the response of the people to KCR's bus yatra.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, KTR also lamented that although the BRS had given eight complaints so far to the Election Commission on the words spoken by CM Revanth Reddy, no action had been initiated against him.
KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy had said that he would hang KCR, besides giving a call for cutting off KCR's head.
"These words seem to have been heard by the Election Commission as moral principles. There is not a single action on a single compliant. No action was initiated by the EC against State minister Konda Surekha either over her comments, other than giving her a reprimand. The Congress' false propaganda is not prohibited. But if KCR speaks on behalf of the leaders and the farmers, a 48-hour ban is imposed on him," KTR said.
He claimed that the ban was a plan to divert the attention of the people, and demanded that the EC respond to the 27 complaints of the BRS if it was not working under the influence of the union government.
"As soon as KCR started his bus yatra, the Congress and the BJP leaders entered a state of shock. Intelligence reports in the State and the IB report at the Centre stated that the bus yatra of KCR was receiving overwhelming response from the people. Till recently our political rivals said that the BRS would not be allowed to win even a single MP seat, but now there are reports that 8 to 12 MP seats are coming to the BRS. Our rival parties are worried that they will lose the elections due to the overwhelming response to KCR. KCR is exposing the fraud committed by Prime Minister Modi in the year 2014 and by CM Revanth Reddy in the year 2023, and the people are loving him for that," he said.
