Kamalanathan To Complete Employee Bifurcation Soon
The Kamalanathan Committee set up to bifurcate the united AP employees between AP and Telangana is likely to complete the process by the end of the month.
The Kamalanathan Committee today held a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat and discussed the bifurcation of the officials and staff between the two Telugu States.
The meeting was held for reallotting the employees in 14 departments.
Kamalanathan presided over the meeting, and officials from the two Telugu States, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), 14 heads of departments and others attended.
It may be mentioned here that the TNGOs' leader Devi Prasad, legislator Srinivas Goud and others gave the committee a deadline of the end of this month to complete the process or face a State-wide agitation in the first week of December. The TNGOs had deferred the agitation they had originally planned to start from November 6 as the committee had agreed to wind up the process by the end of November.
Though the two governments were formed 17 months ago, their governance has been badly affected due to a lack of officials in the two States.
Recently Kamalanathan had a meeting with the chief secretaries of the two States - Rajiv Sharma and I Y R Krishna Rao - to take their inputs. It is expected that the committee will take a call to wind up the staff bifurcation issue, as more than 90% of the related work is reportedly complete.
