The meeting of the Chief Ministers of the two Telugu States begun at Praja Bhavan this evening.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and D Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and senior officials attended the meeting on behalf of Telangana.
On behalf of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, ministers Kandula Durgesh, Sathyaprasad and B C Janardhan Reddy, and other senior officials were present.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the distribution of the assets specified in Schedules 9 and 10 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, between the two States. The distribution of properties not mentioned in the Reorganization Act, issues involving the Andhra Pradesh Financial Corporation, pending electricity bills, payment of debts, labour cess remittances, employee separation matters and other issues are also going to be discussed in the meeting.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy presented a book titled "Naa Godava" written by Kaloji Narayana Rao to Chandrababu Naidu.
Though it has been ten years since the formation of Telangana State, many important issues related to the bifurcation have remained pending. Discussions were held between the two States at the level of officials in the past, but many issues were not solved.
