Ahead of the upcoming GHMC elections, the TDP received yet another blow with former minister and former CBI director K Vijayarama Rao quitting the Party.
Rao was elected from the Khairatabad Assembly constituency in 1999 and was also a member of the then Chandrababu Naidu cabinet.
According to informed sources, Rao is likely to join the TRS.
He had turned inactive after his defeat in the 2004 elections, and has been keeping a low profile.
The TDP has lost four of its MLAs to the TRS after the 2014 elections.
