Praja Shanthi Party president K A Paul, who lost his deposit in the Munugodu Assembly by-election, today said that he would be going to New Delhi on November 10 to meet the Chief Election Commissioner of India to seek cancellation of the by-election result.
Speaking to the media, Paul alleged that all the election officers knew that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were replaced on the polling day.
He said that instead of deploying EVMs in the polling stations, the EC officials used ballot papers for reasons best known to them.
"And though we demanded that the counting of the votes be taken up on the very next day of the polling, the election officials ignored the demand," he added.
Targeting MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao, Paul said that he was not afraid of anyone like the former.
"I didn't run away when KTR instigated Anil Reddy to assault me. If he (KTR) has the courage, let him walk on the roads like me," Paul said.
