Jolt To BRS As GHMC Mayor Decides To Join Congress

Gadwal Vijayalakshmi along with 10 other BRS corporators will join the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday.

Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BRS has received another setback in Hyderabad, with its GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi deciding to join the Congress.

The Mayor along with 10 other BRS corporators will join the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday.

AICC Telangana in-charge Deepa Das Munshi and Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy interacted with Vijayalakshmi at her residence on Friday and and invited her to join the Congress.

Though Vijayalakshmi said that the decision to join the Congress would be taken after discussing with her followers, she is said to have made up her mind to defect.
