The election for the post of the president of the Telangana Olympic Association (TOA) had turned interesting with senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan throwing in his hat. He was preparing to take on former MP and BJP leader A P Jithender Reddy, leading to anticipation of a riveting contest.
However, things resulted in an anti-climax today with the nominations of both the men being rejected by the election officials.
The nomination of Ranjan was rejected by the election committee as he did not get permission from the Central Administrative Tribunal.
The nomination form of the former chairman of the association K Ranga Rao was accepted by the committee
It is said that both Ranjan and Reddy were planning to move the High Court on the issue.
