» Janardhan Reddy Accuses Congress Of Cheating Telangana People
Janardhan Reddy Slams Congress
Janardhan Reddy alleged that the Congress party is cheating the people of Telangana, and is forcing its MLAs and MLCs to attend the budget session of Assembly.
Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum (TTDP Forum) Convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Monday alleged that the Congress party has 'once again' cheated the people of Telangana by forcing its MLAs and MLCs to attend the budget session of Assembly.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media-point, Janardhan Reddy accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas of 'forcing' the Telangana Congress MLAs and MLCs to attend the Assembly sessions without giving any assurance on the Telangana issue.
"What have they achieved by boycotting the Assembly sessions? The people of Telangana are carefully watching the Congress leaders' actions, and will give a fitting lesson to them at the appropriate time," he stated.
Janardhan Reddy stated that the Congress party has been cheating the people of Telangana since 1954.
"During the by-elections last year, the PCC chief had said that the Congress will give Telangana state on 'gold trays'. But now, the PCC chief has ordered the issuing of a whip to the Telangana Congress leaders to attend the session, to pass the budget, and to ensure that the party candidates win the MLC elections," Janardhan Reddy stated.
He said that the Telangana Congress leaders have no guts to face the Seemandhra leaders in Assembly.
Janardhan Reddy opined that the Telangana Congress leaders must 'learn a lesson' from the Telangana MPs who have been staging dharnas in New Delhi to press Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to introduce the Telangana bill in Parliament.
The TTDP Forum Convenor advised Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to conduct the House sessions in Seemandhra instead of forcing Telangana Congress leaders to attend the House.
