Jamiat Ulame-e-Hind Meet On 5 Jan
The 2nd state-level convention of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, which will be held on 5 January, will feature discussions on other topics in regard to the Muslim community.
The Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind ("Organization of Indian Scholars") will host its 2nd state-level convention, on 5 January, at the Nizam College Grounds.
Addressing a press conference, on Tuesday, the Jamiat's State President Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed and National Secretary Moulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that nearly 50,000 members from across the state will be participating in the convention.
Among the issues to be discussed during the convention are reservations for Muslims on the basis of population, passing of a Communal Violence Bill, exemption of Madarsas from the Right to Education Act, and the protection of Wakf properties.
Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Jamiat's National President Moulana Hafiz Mohammad Osman Mansurpuri, and General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Hafiz Syed Mahmood Asad Madani, will attend the convention.
Several eminent personalities from the country will also attend the event. (INN)
