Jaipal Reddy To Blame For KG Crisis: TDP
The TDP holds union Petroleum minister Jaipal Reddy responsible for AP's losses due to the diversion of gas from the KG basin to Ratnagiri power plant in Maharashtra.
Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party floor leader Nama Nageswara Rao, on Tuesday, held union Petroleum minister S Jaipal Reddy responsible for the losses that Andhra Pradesh incurred due to the diversion of gas from the KG basin to Ratnagiri power plant in Maharashtra.
Talking to media persons, Nageswara Rao said that the state was meted out injustice in the supply of gas from the KG basin, mainly due to Jaipal Reddy's "attitude". Slamming the state government's inefficiency in mounting pressure on the Centre to get its rightful share in the allotment of gas, he said that AP did not get any major supply after Jaipal Reddy assumed charge in the Oil & Gas ministry.
Nageswara Rao also blamed the elected representatives from the state for not acting responsibly despite the state being treated with injustice. He added that they ought to be held responsible for the serious power crisis in AP. (INN)
