Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar today submitted a formal written complaint to Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar against controversial Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy.
In his complaint, Kumar wrote that Reddy verbally insulted him during an official meeting at the Karimnagar Collectorate, where several elected representatives and officials were discussing public issues.
He requested that the Speaker investigate the incident and take prompt action against the BRS MLA for his "inappropriate behaviour and use of offensive language".
For context, acrimonious scenes were witnessed during the District Review Committee (DRC) meeting in Karimnagar yesterday when Reddy engaged in a verbal spat with Kumar over the latter's defection to the Congress and tried to disrupt the latter's speech, causing a ruckus.
It was reported that Reddy engaged physically with Kumar as well, though that wasn't captured on video.
Reddy was arrested by the police in the case, and was released later on bail.
The incident took place in the presence of ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar.
