Jagga Reddy Slams KCR For Land Registration Delays
Congress MLA Jagga Reddy today criticised the TRS government for failing to carry out land registration in the state in a timely and organised fashion.
Telangana Congress MLA Jagga Reddy today assailed the TRS government, claiming that it had failed to offer land registration services in the state in an organised and timely manner.
Reddy alleged that the TRS government had failed to implement a hassle-free land registration system in the state despite making tall claims that it would launch a new system to simplify the registration process, and claimed that the new process was inconveniencing people instead of helping them.
"The new system has driven people to corner land registration officials who insist on collecting sensitive personal details which are entirely irrelevant to the registration process. The suspension of the registrations along with the constant delays and glitches have meant that people have been unable to sell their properties or obtain loans from banks. The five-month-long delay has ruined real estate in the state," he added.
The Congress leader also alleged that the government had turned the stamps and registration department into a "centre for testing TRS innovations".
Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Reddy asked him if he was continually creating new problems for the people intentionally, and demanded that KCR revert to the old process of land registration.
