Former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will tour the rain-affected Guntur and Prakasam districts on Friday and Saturday.
Jaganmohan Reddy is expected to meet and enquire from the farmers about the losses caused to their crops due to the heavy rains, and the relief measures taken up by the state government.
This would be his first tour after his announcement of forming separate political party within 45 days. The tour would give an opportunity to Jaganmohan Reddy to gauge firsthand the reaction of this announcement. The tour would also strengthen his yet-to-be announced party at grassroots level.
As part of his visit, the MP will start from Hyderabad by Janmabhoomi Express on Friday, and reach Guntur in the afternoon. Later, he will visit Avanigadda, Repalle and Tenali, the rain-hit areas in Guntur district.
Meanwhile, suspended PCC general-secretary and staunch loyalist of Jaganmohan Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, is making arrangements in Guntur district, which is considered the bastion of the Congress party.
According to sources, a section of YSR loyalists will join Jaganmohan Reddy during his tour.
