Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today came down heavily on his rival, the TDP.
Without taking the name of the party, Reddy alleged that some opponents of the state government were conspiring to create unrest in Andhra Pradesh by encouraging those who loved the CM, to attack them (the opponents).
He claimed that the rivals were using foul language against the CM in order to provoke the CM's loyalists.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Police Martyrs' Day, Reddy added that a new angle was also being witnessed in crimes in the state. He alleged that his opponents were desecrating idols during the dark hours to instigate riots, and added that they had also burnt temple chariots for the purpose.
He also claimed that the rivals of his government had also tried to stop the implementation of the welfare programs of his government.
He said that the people of the state should reflect on the ill-deeds of the opposition parties of the state.
Commenting on the ongoing "propaganda" over drug trafficking, he said that there was not even an iota of truth in the reports.
He said that the DGP of the state and the DRI had already made statements that there was no drug trafficking in the state, and that that the opposition party leaders were carrying out the wrong campaign to malign the image of the state.
