Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today said that Vizag was going to become the capital of the State, and that he would rule from the city soon.
Addressing a gathering of investors in the city during a preparatory meeting ahead of the organisation of a global investors' summit in Vizag, Jagan urged industrialists to make investments in the city, and said that that he needed the cooperation of industrialists to keep AP on the world forum and that his government would extend all possible cooperation to investors who came to AP.
Jagan said that AP had ranked No 1 in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings, and that the State had a conducive environment for business. He said that Andhra Pradesh had the longest coastal area, was growing at 11.43%, and had been allotted three industrial corridors out of the proposed 11 across the country, and was giving permissions for the establishment of industrial units in just 21 days.
He urged the gathering not only to visit AP, but also bring their friends to the State to show it to them.
He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending support for the industrial development of Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, TTD Chairman Y V Subba Reddy said that the Chief Minister would rule the State from Vizag from April of this year if everything went according to plan.
He asserted that the CM was still committed to his promise of ruling the State from Vizag, and that arrangements were being made for the same.
He said that the city had several government offices, and that private buildings would also be taken on lease if required.
He added that the CM's office and camp office would be shifted to a government guesthouse until the completion of the construction of a permanent building.
