YSR Congress Party president and Leader Of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who returned home from New Zealand on Saturday night, paid floral tributes to the statue of famous film director Dasari Narayana Rao at a condolence meeting held in Image Gardens on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy hailed the services rendered by Rao to the Telugu film industry. Later, he called on the family members of Rao and consoled them.
It may be recalled that Rao, considered a doyen of Telugu cinema,
breathed his last following multi-organ failure at KIMS Hospital in the city on May 30.
The YSRCP chief, along with his wife Bharati Reddy and other family members, returned from New Zealand on Saturday night. The couple were welcomed warmly by party workers and leaders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad. Party leaders Pratap Reddy, Saikam Srinivas Reddy, Basireddy Sidda Reddy, Ramaiah, Gudivada Amarnath and others were present.
